Photo AlbumsMaking and keeping photographic records of our lives and times and activities is just, well, part of life. We invite you to look through our albums here—perhaps some of the photos will remind you of your own experiences. Importantly, you will see the types of activities in which the Legionnaires of Battlefields Post #144 engage. Right here, in our community!

Enjoy!

The American Legion and Battlefields Post #144 are committed to service “for veterans, their families, and their community, state, and nation.” Community Service—whether support for job fairs, citizenship awards in middle schools, or help for injured veterans and the children of those killed in action—drives and informs all of our activities, as you can see in these slideshow albums.

Memorial Day and the annual Wreaths Across America ceremonies are especially important to Legionnaires. It is more than symbolic; it is the day when we remember those with whom we served who are no longer with us. Each year, Battlefields Post #144 participates in services at the Virginia War Memorial and the Wreaths ceremony at Seven Pines National Cemetery.
