The Battlefields Post 144 home has a new look. At the Admin Board meeting in March, the Post officers approved the renovation of the former men’s lounge into two rooms to improve logistics support for the kitchen and move the office into a efficient location.

Buck Buchanan and Dan Ossa started with the kitchen storage area. They recently divided the area behind the kitchen (formerly the men’s lounge) into two areas.

The front half is the new office. This area has heat and air conditioning; these are easier to work here.

The back half is the new kitchen storage area—we will place the Post refrigerator and shelving from the previous storage area here, making it easier to “run” for that one item that’s always needed to complete the award-winning recipe.

We’ll post further accounts as we make additional improvements in this and other areas.
