As we move towards Spring, we have several activities coming up that should be of interest to you.

First, we are having an American Legion Birthday Breakfast on Sunday, March 15^th from 8:00 A.M. until 10:10 A.M. to celebrate the 90^th birthday of the Legion. The cost is only $4.00 per person. Come on down and join your Comrades.

We are planning to send at least three young men from the area to American Legion Boy’s State in June. We can send more if we find sponsors. You can sponsor a young man for only $295.00. If you, or anyone you know, can help, let us know. We sent five youth last year. We have followed up with them; the community benefits greatly from their participation. It is a great leadership development program.

We will sponsor American Legion Baseball again this year. We will also be moving back to Bailey Field at Highland Springs High School. Come out and support your team!

A Night At The Races was a big success. Thanks to the Riders and all who helped out.

Membership is doing well. We only have a very few members who have not yet paid their dues for 2009. We continue to need your supportrecruiting new members, so ask a veteran you know to join us! We’ll all be glad they are a part of the Legion.
