The Legion Riders of Post 144 have been thwarted in our efforts to parade and otherwise display our Legion Colors by mean ol’ Ma Nature. We look forward to the May flowers—and clear weather—that all those April “showers” are rumored to engender.

 

Poker Run

The next big event currently on the calendar is our Poker Run on June 20, 2009. Look forward to great weather and a large turnout. This activity supports the Legacy Fund and is open to ALL You do not have to ride to do the run, just follow the course and have a good time. See the flyer posted for this event.

Run To The Thunder

The main activity for May is the Run to the Thunder ride (sponsored by NOVAALR and Farifax Post 177). This ride gathers at Patriot Harley Davidson in Fairfax and is an escorted ride into the District of Columbia along I-66 to the Pentagon North parking lot. There, we will join the anticipated 3,000–4,000 bikes for Rolling Thunder XXII, a Salute to Veterans and all Prisoners of War and Missing In Action.

Of course, there are many opportunities this weekend (May 22^nd–24^th) to gather on the side porch of Post 177, with our brother and sister Legionaires.
